A Leader's Impact goes far beyond the desk

A good leader can set high performance standards, drive growth, ignite creativity AND have a hard working, loyal workforce with low turnover....all while leading as a HUMAN.

 

A human who understands the need for people to be heard and recognized; understands the stress of a working parent; understands that people want to find meaning in their careers; and who checks in and asks the simple question, “What’s on your plate today?”

 

A leader who DOESN’T understand these human principles, who believes that giving credit is akin to “people taking their foot off the gas” and who equivocates praise with lionization, creates an atmosphere of toxic psychology.

 

The trouble is, it WORKS incredibly well. Top Performers will kill ourselves for an ounce of acknowledgement of our effort and dedication.

 

Your top performers will *eventually* leave; exhausted, shattered and emotionally devoid of anything left to give.

 

Your reach is far beyond the desk. Toxicity will kill vibrant, innovative energy in your business; it will kill the spirit of your employees. And it may it may kill a person.
