50, NOT DEAD EPISODE 20: Shaema Talib

Shaema Talib, Vice President Strategy & Product in the Tech Industry and adjunct professor at two universities highlights  how drive and passion far outweigh age when she hires employees.

Self professed as not having experienced ageism herself, she highlights that in her C-Suite position, what she looks for when interviewing candidates is how deeply a person cares about the things they are interested in.  She wants to hear about what job they want next, not just the one for which the candidate is currently interviewing. Drive is incredibly important to her and she looks for it and measures it. This conversation puts an interesting twist on how we can shape how others perceive us, regardless of our age.

Shaema is a leader who cares not only about performance, which she does, but also about growing individuals and herself.
