50, NOT DEAD Podcast is going live September 7th!!!
What is it that, you say? A podcast? About being Not Dead? WHAT is she talking about?!
Yes! This is a place where I talk about what it is like to be a 50-ish woman today.
-ish?
48? Sure!
55? Yes!
65? Absolutely
70? Hell Yeah!
In my Coaching, I began realizing three trends which sparked this podcast:
1) Executive level women, laid-off during Covid, were telling me they felt they would NEVER GET HIRED AGAIN because they were "too old", not seen as full of “fresh ideas,” and were not “digital natives.”
2) Women who were more than qualified for the positions they were looking at were telling me that they would likely have to TAKE A PAY CUT AND/OR A STEP DOWN, to get back into the workforce (if they had been out due to Covid, caring for elders, raising children , etc). And that taking a lower position seemed like the only option.
3) Women who were incredibly qualified were NOT AIMING HIGH ENOUGH.
Women described feeling INVISIBLE.
It became an enthusiastic mission of mine to do something, at scale.
1:1 Coaching brings me tremendous joy and sense of accomplishment. When I help someone truly see her value, contribution and worth and then actualize it…. I am truly celebratory.
I want all women in their fifties (and beyond) recognized for the incredible expertise, experience, and knowledge that they bring to the table.
I want to be an active participant, bringing discussion and issues around gendered ageism to the forefront. I want to drive change in the narrative. This podcast is meant to shine a light on women in their fifties, making them VISIBLE.
Regardless of your age or gender, I invite you to listen.
Women in their fifties are CRUSHING IT.
They continue to learn, grow, and contribute with immense value. They have so much to teach.
Help me amplify women’s voices, create engaging conversation about the impact of ageism on women, and rip that shit apart.
Learn from them. Listen to their stories. Help women who feel invisible BE visible.
Gag, and then DO SOMETHING when you hear one of my guests describe this comment made by a CEO while interviewing her.
“I’m willing to give someone like you, a woman of your age, a chance. I don’t know if you’re tired, lazy, or don’t know what you’re doing, but we’re willing to give you the opportunity.”

A place where I get to give space for women's perspectives, experiences, and voices. Where we spark ideas and make commitments to change. Where we make the invisible, dramatically visible.
